Call off the dogs, kill the milk carton campaign… Mark Anthony has been spotted, he is doing fine and coming back to action. For good or for bad, I am back in the saddle again!
For those who really cared (and I know a lot of you didn’t, so don’t worry), I had to step back from internet life for awhile. Maybe a long while in Internet time. But you need to do that occasionally and this one was one of those much needed times to step off the platform, stop the trains, re-evaluate and finally reboot.
A Good Kick in The Pants
That’s what it takes sometimes. A swift kick in the backside to get the mind back in its proper place and the emotions riding high. For that, I want to thank a few friends, unfortunately, I will need to keep their identities secret, but just say thank you Miss Iowa and her honey-bear… I know… Gushy but sweet and they don’t care what I say about that.
I was confused, overwhelmed and lost my view. Lost the will and the fire I used to have for all this Marketing, small business consulting and business building. It was getting to be like work. Like a real job. So I knew I had to get away from it all.
It was that stepping away that made me realize I still loved it. Just not in the same way as before. People still wrote, called and stopped me in meetings. Asking for help, guidance and some suggestions. I was still needed and I loved that
Practise What You Preach
A good friend… mentioned above… Sent me a nasty email that basically said that. For me to start practicing what I preach. Just because I have Attention Deficit Disorder, doesn’t mean I am immune from my own words of chaotic wisdom. And she was right. I had strayed from my core values and philosophy. Using excuses to cover up my lack of direction and follow through. To focus on what I love and what I am best at.
Rebooting Ask Mr Mark
That’s basically what I need to do. Reboot this website and focus it back onto my readers. Helping answer your questions about Internet Marketing, Local Search, Social Media and Small Business Development online.
I suck at website design and building. Look at this site as an example!! But I rock at picking out killer domain names, setting up a blog and making your website rank high in the search engines using ethical and proven methods that are not susceptible to sudden changes in the Bing or Google algorithm. . I rock at getting you into the social media marketing world. I rock at fine tuning a marketing campaign or getting better qualified viewers to your website.
These are questions that plague a lot of small brick and mortar as well as online business owners and professionals. Answers to these questions can make or break a business. they can make you more money in less time and with less work.
