Save Your Business – Shop Local

Are you the cause?Every time you make a purchase, you are deciding to help one business to succeed and one to fail.  It’s that simple.

The Internet is great, don’t get me wrong.  It’s where I make my money and where I spend most of my time.  I also love human interaction and in these tough times, I need as much human interaction as I can get.

So I do my research on line and buy locally as much as possible.  The local suppliers are who we turn to when our online purchases fail to deliver.  But what happens when they aren’t there anymore?

Often times we forget those that matter most.  In business, it’s the local supplier that matters most.  The one we shunned in order to save a few dollars by buying online.  What about that business owner’s survival?

We all agree that the small business owner is in a tough spot right now.  The economy is shaky, our president doesn’t have a clue to how the economy really works and everyone is trying to save a penny.  But that penny you saved by buying on-line may have cost someone in your neighborhood their business, their career and their livelihood.

Right now, every dollar counts and your has a lot more power than it has in recent memory.  It may not be buying as much as we want, yet that dollar has a lot of control over the destiny of many other people.  That’s Power!

Use your dollar power wisely because the next business you save, may be your own!
